The “Interesting Times” Have Arrived: Existential Vulnerability & “Conventional Wisdom”

The global security landscape is rushing toward a structural threshold of extreme volatility — a geopolitical superstorm driven by five compounding feedback loops, with a peak volatility window only 1 to 2 years away. This session maps out the key morphological elements of the once-in-a-lifetime crisis we are experiencing, using this structural framing to more clearly understand hybrid and cognitive warfare. By challenging entrenched conventional wisdom, we will examine the actual vectors of systemic risk:

Top-Down Radicalization: Why mass polarization is an elite-driven operation weaponizing the populace, rather than a grassroots phenomenon.

The Vulnerable Establishment: How authoritarian cognitive warfare exploits the epistemic bubbles of elites in opposing political factions by weaponizing institutional ghosts and imaginary tipping points.

Weaponized Interdependency: How global commerce has morphed from a peace-keeping tool into an active economic weapon.

The Hidden Countermeasure: A demographic and behavioral look at why a maligned generational demographic is actually our ultimate strategic asset for survival.

Constantine leads a Risk Management practice dedicated to securing privately owned U.S. critical infrastructure. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and data-driven product development, he creates advanced tools that enhance situational awareness for security professionals. Notably, Constantine spent the last decade developing a novel geopolitical modeling system designed to track and decode large crisis morphology. He advises national security leaders on the rapidly evolving character of modern multi-domain warfare. His work uses Grand Strategy as a context for understanding hybrid warfare, with a specific emphasis on the cyber and cognitive domains.
