Jessica Barker has delivered face to face cyber security awareness sessions to more than 80,000 people worldwide, and has spent her career translating cyber security into something everyone, not just technical teams, can understand and act on. Dr. Jessica Barker MBE is one of the most recognized voices in cyber security worldwide, known for her work on the human side of the field. She is co-founder and co-CEO of Cygenta, the cyber security company she launched in 2014 with her husband and co-founder, FC.
In 2024, Barker was awarded an MBE for services to cyber security. She has delivered more than 90 keynotes globally (including for NATO, the World Government Summit, and RSA Conference) and has personally led face to face security awareness sessions for more than 80,000 people. She is the author of two bestselling books, "Confident Cyber Security" and "Hacked: The Secrets Behind Cyber Attacks," and appears regularly as a media commentator on outlets including the BBC, Sky News, and Channel 4 News.
Barker serves on the UK Government's Cyber Security Advisory Board, chairs ClubCISO, and has been named one of the UK's top 20 most influential women in cyber security. She and FC currently live in Las Vegas.
